Gabriele Ballarino

Gabriele Ballarino (b. 1966) holds a degree in philosophy (Milan) and a PhD in Sociology and social research (Trento). He is currently professor of Economic sociology, and also teaches Education, labour market and training.

Currently his research focuses on the relations between economic life and school systems, both at the macro level (comparative school systems) and at the micro level (inequality of educational opportunities, returns to education).
